## The idea

Rather than relying only on guest posts, build natural links through
forums, profiles, and communities. Done properly, these links are practical
and safe, and they do help Google rankings.[^iskills-course-notes]

## Target link sources

- **Guest posting** — general sites, APK sites, meme sites, tool-based sites.
- **Community forums** — 100+ sites is the useful range for this method.
- **Profile links** — profiles built with an image, bio, and link.
- **Practical forum participation** — posting questions, answers, and
  discussions.

## Account setup

Don't use your main Gmail. Create 5 separate Gmail accounts with different
names, each used to join a different set of forums.

## Signing up and building activity

1. Choose forums relevant to your niche (tech, APK, memes, tools, etc.).
2. Sign up with each separate Gmail.
3. Complete each profile fully: picture, bio, about section.
4. Make 10+ random posts or replies **before** placing any link.
5. Wait at least 1 week before placing a backlink, so the account has real
   history behind it.

## Posting strategy

Use the different accounts to create a natural-looking discussion: one
account posts a question, another replies helpfully, further accounts add to
the thread — once the engagement looks real, insert the backlink inside one
of the replies. This is what makes the link read as organic rather than
planted.

## Checking indexing

A backlink only counts once it is indexed. Check with:

If it shows up, it's indexed. If not: submit the URL in Google Search
Console, or share the link on social platforms to encourage a crawl. Record
every backlink URL in a spreadsheet as you go.

## Finding forums at scale

Use Ahrefs to collect 1,000–5,000 relevant forums/communities, or ask an AI
tool for niche-specific communities. WordPress-based forums are also a good
source.

## Anchor text ratio

Keep this heavily generic: about 95% generic/natural anchor text ("here",
"check this resource", "read more"), and only about 5% exact-keyword

## Monitoring

Save every forum link in a spreadsheet, check weekly in Google Search
Console for which ones are indexed, and replace any link that is lost or
never gets indexed.

## Tips

- Never spam — always provide real value in a post before linking.
- Be patient — a backlink should follow genuine engagement, not precede it.
- Complete every profile fully, for trust.
- Spread activity across multiple forums rather than concentrating it.
- Prioritize relevancy and actual indexing over raw link count.
