## Niche site launch plan

1. **Preparation phase** — choose the niche, group content topics, prepare
domain and hosting, install WordPress, set up theme and design.
2. **Article publishing (pre-launch)** — publish 3 articles before going
live at minimum; a fuller launch adds 10 articles total; an aggressive
approach has 20 articles ready before the site goes live.
3. **After going live** — publish 1 article every 2 days until 15 days are
complete, maintain interlinking between articles as they're added, and
complete on-page and technical SEO setup alongside publishing.[^iskills-course-notes]

## Tracking and analytics

Connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity
(heatmaps, session recording) from the start.

## The honeymoon period

**Definition:** a temporary ranking boost new sites get in the SERPs.

**How to maximize it:**

- Strong UX (user experience).
- Frequent content updates.
- Re-index updated content after each change.
- Edit the publish date to signal freshness when a page is meaningfully
  updated.

**Example update schedule:** update one article on 20 July, another on 15
August, and request re-indexing after each update.

## External promotion

Share content on X (Twitter), Google News, Quora, and relevant social media
groups to drive early signals.

## Continuous optimization

- Update internal linking regularly as new content is added.
- Track technical errors as they appear.
- Combine off-page SEO work with ongoing content updates rather than treating
  them as separate phases.
